Why analyse before bidding?

Know whether the opportunity fits before you commit.

Tender submissions can demand significant time from commercial, operational and technical teams. A structured review helps uncover mandatory conditions, evidence gaps, resource demands and commercial risks before drafting begins.

Avoid preventable non-complianceIdentify pass/fail requirements, exclusions and missing evidence.
Protect internal resourcesUnderstand likely effort, contributors and timetable before committing.
Focus on scoring potentialSee where the greatest marks sit and whether your evidence can support a credible response.
Make a reasoned decisionProceed with a documented view of fit, risk and required actions.
What we analyse

Eight dimensions of the opportunity.

We turn a large tender pack into a structured view of what the buyer requires, what you can evidence and what needs attention.

Frequently asked questions

Tender analysis FAQs.

Clear answers on scope, timing, documents, confidentiality and next steps.

What is tender analysis?

A structured review of a live opportunity to assess requirements, fit, scoring, evidence, delivery demands and risks before or at the start of the bid process.

Is this the same as bid review?

No. Tender analysis examines the opportunity and your readiness, usually before drafting. Bid review assesses a response that has already been written.

Will you tell us whether to bid?

Yes. The report can provide a pursue, pursue with conditions, or do not pursue recommendation, supported by the evidence available. The final commercial decision remains yours.

What documents do you need?

Usually the tender notice, ITT or instructions, specification, evaluation criteria, pricing schedule, contract terms and appendices, plus relevant information about your organisation.

How long does the analysis take?

Turnaround depends on document volume, complexity and the deadline. We will confirm a realistic timescale after reviewing the material.

Can you guarantee that we will win?

No. Outcomes depend on the buyer's evaluation, competition, pricing, evidence and other factors. The service is designed to improve decision quality and preparation, not guarantee an award.

Can you help after the analysis?

Yes. Where appropriate, Alioth can support response planning, tender writing or bid review as a separate service.

How is confidential information handled?

We will explain actual storage, access and deletion practices and whether an NDA is available. We avoid generic security claims that are not backed by a defined process.

Which sectors do you support?

We support opportunities where Alioth has credible capability. Sector-specific claims should be based on evidenced experience.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is based on document volume, complexity, deadline and required outputs. A fixed quotation can be considered after an initial document review.
